Saturday was a GREAT day!! I got to spend 12 hours with a great group of crafty ladies at my first ever All Day Stamp and Scrap Event. I was exhausted by 10:30pm when everyone finally departed but the day went so well, it was worth it!! I broke my usual rule of cleaning up before I go to bed (in fact, I was in bed within 10 minutes of locking the front door!) so when I got up this morning, this is what I saw:
My awesome husband spent more than an hour helping me clean up! Plus, on Saturday he did quite a bit of the cooking after arriving home around noon after being on an all night flight! What a great guy!!
One of the things that he made for us was a Monkey Bread. Everyone wanted the recipe, so here it is:
Hungry Jack Biscuit Monkey Bread
1clove garlic, pressed
1/4 cup butter or margerine, melted
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 12oz and 1 6oz package Hungry Jack Refrigerated Flaky Biscuits
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine garlic, melted butter, and dry mustard in bowl. Coat the bottom of loaf pan with 2 tablespoons of the butter mixture (reserve the rest for topping). Separate the dough into 10 biscuits: cut each into 4 pieces with a scissors. Arrange biscuit pieces evenly in prepared pan. Drizzle reserved butter mixture over biscuit pieces. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Bake 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Turn onto cooling rack, invert onto serving plate. Serve warm. 10 servings. Recipe adapted from Turning Out the Best Recipe Book from Papmered Chef and Pillsbury.
One final note: this is the link for the sqaure folded card we made. REMEMBER TO CUT THE DESIGNER PAPER TO 11x11 BEFORE SCORING!!!!
